THE WEDDING OF JENNY & TOBY ON PRIVATE LAND IN LINCOLNSHIRE

Introduction: Welcome to our blog, where we share the heartwarming story of Jenny & Toby’s recent wedding at. As a passionate wedding cinematographer I get to travel across the uk and abroad to capture stories about people in love. It is always refreshing to be back in our home county of Lincolnshire capturing the beauty of an Aswarby Rectory Wedding. Join me as we dive into their journey, from their everyday lives to their proposal and their choice to capture their wedding on film.

Who Are Jenny & Toby? Jenny (myself) is a paediatric nurse. I am currently working in neonatal intensive care, caring for sick and preterm babies and their families. Toby works as an aerospace engineer. Normal life is quite hectic as I do shift work and work nights and weekends so we only have limited times to see each other, such as a few hours in the evening. Therefore what is most important to us is finding time for one another. Trying to be organised in our lifestyles is important so we can allocate days to do nice things and evening where Toby comes home from work and we have a nice dinner together before I then have to go to work. Family is also a very big thing for us, we love our families and enjoy spending time with them. We met at secondary school. Toby asked me to prom when we were 15 to which I agreed. He very awkwardly asked me out to which is shrugged him off and said I was too busy competing my horse to have a boyfriend. He continued to persist and asked me to prom again when we were 17. This time I didn’t shrug him off when he asked to date! We have been together for 6 years now. We have slowly moved across the country from East to West. From being in Lincolnshire, I went to York university to study nursing and Toby to Sheffield to study aerospace engineering. Once I qualified I moved to Sheffield where we lived in an apartment for a year whilst he finished his masters and I working at Sheffield Children’s hospital. Toby then got a job at BAE systems in Lancashire so we made the big move over here and we bought our first house together last year.

The Proposal:

Toby proposed on the night of our 6th year anniversary (4.6.22) in Skopelos (The Greek island where Mama Mia was filmed. A few weeks before we went away I had a vibe that he might propose. However when we were in the airport my headphones were in his bag. I went in his bag whilst he was watching and his facial expression never changed so I was certain at this point that there was no ring. Well how wrong I was. It was in the side pocket all along, and Toby was panicking inside when I was looking in his bag but his face stayed as cool as a cucumber.

That evening we made some pasta and ate it in golden hour just before the sunset as our villa. We walked across to the other side of the pool to see the sunset more clearly and before I knew it, he was down on one knee and I was in tears. He had to wait a few minutes whilst I composed myself enough to answer him! It was the most magical moment of my life! He already had a bottle of Champagne chilling in the fridge. We rang our families to let them know. We waited until after the holiday to tell everyone else.

Why Capturing Their Wedding on Video? We initially didn’t if I’m going to be honest! We thought that photos would be enough to do our wedding justice, but the more people we asked and the more videos we saw of peoples wedding really changed our minds. We love the idea that not only will we get to see our wedding from a different viewpoint other than our own, but also to see our gusts and families in their natural state. We all only plan on getting married once in our lives (we hope to anyway!), and we want to remember to day and be able to hopefully show it to our children one day. We don’t want any regrets and love the idea of our wedding being videoed.

Why Us? Lincolnshire videography work looks amazing, so natural and romantic. You capture all elements of the wedding, even down to the smallest of details. The equipment that you use, appears very good quality as it shows in the videos you have done. On top of that, our wedding is based in Lincolnshire where you guys are also based. I have seen many fantastic reviews on Instagram and google.

Conclusion: Jenny & Toby’s Aswarby Rectory wedding was a super relaxed one. A beautiful sailcloth tent in the middle of rural Lincolnshire was just the perfect venue. Their deep connection and shared sentimental moments made their special day truly remarkable. As their wedding cinematographer, I am grateful to have been a part of capturing these cherished memories on film. Their journey reminds us that love knows no bounds and that weddings can be a celebration of individuality and personal touches.
