Eleanor & James met whilst in the throes of university, James claims that “he waged a campaign of attraction”, but after his failing attempts “he waged a war of attrition” and finally won the heart of beautiful Eleanor.
While on holiday with Eleanor’s parents, James found it odd that the family kept leaving them alone quite often, they didn’t want to go for walks and everything seemed a little odd. He later found out that Eleanor’s family had hoped James would propose on this special trip. He did not get the hint at all and kept her waiting a while longer. When the couple were on another holiday (just the 2 of them this time), James popped the question on a tranquil little island in Thailand, setting the scene for an amazing memory & Eleanor of course said yes!.
The happy couple got married on the 26th of June 2021 at Eleanor’s family home Thorganby Hall. All the preparations took place at here, Eleanor was very calm all morning, she had all her bridesmaids and flower girls with her displaying a simply relaxed & super chilled out vibe.

For the ceremony we traveled a short distance to St Mary’s Church in Binbrook. An awful lot of people came to the church proceedings, it’s incredibly clear to me that these are very loved people. I thoroughly enjoyed capturing the ceremony in all its stunning rural majesty, it was absolutely breathtaking, you could honestly see what it meant to them right there on the day!.
After the ceremony, and a little (A LOT) of confetti, it was back to Thorganby. Can I just say, what a backdrop!. Eleanor’s family are farmers, they had gone to great lengths to ensure the grounds were impeccably immaculate. The weather was perfect, the scenery was flawless and the ambiance was graceful & relaxed. There were drinks and canapés on the lawn, fire pits, and a band saw the couple party into the night with all of their loved ones by their side.
